Our monthly support group meetings are the heart of The Compassionate Friends. These gatherings provide a caring environment in which bereaved parents, adult siblings, grandparents and other adult family members can talk freely about the emotions and experiences they are going through and receive the understanding support of others who have "been there." Over the years, the hope provided through these sharing sessions has been more helpful than anything else.
Some feel hesitant about coming for the first time; however, I would like to assure you that most find mutual support and continue to come. The meetings provide an opportunity to share ideas that have been helpful in coping with our grief.
